Serbian state-owned communications operator Telekom Srbija has now officially acquired Globatel, according to business registry information, as cited by news site ekapija.com.
The acquisition has been some time in coming, with Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lucic shaving stated in the past that this was in the cards. The value of the deal has not been released, although EUR 17 mln was a figure quoted in the past—although this price was denied by Lucic, according to the site.
Globatel was previously owned by Pink Media Group and Procescom. Jovan Bogdanovic is the current CEO of Globatel, having started his position on July 13.
