Ruma to gain USD 100 mln Chinese Haitian Machinery factory investment

Chinese Hatian Machinery announced it will build a 365,000-square meter factory to produce industrial injection mould machines in Ruma, Serbia–a USD 100-mln investment slated to eventually employ 300.

“From 2025, a new 365,000-square meter Haitian factory in Ruma Serbia, will start producing 2,500 injection moulding machines per annum for the European market,” the company said in an announcement Jan. 27 on Linkedin.

Further information was noted by the local Serbian press, as well as SEE news, which indicated that some 250 machines would be produced yearly, with the majority of these being injection mould machines, but others produced to include cutting and casting machines.

The company is in the process of obtaining permits for offices, a production hall,  storage facilities and waste treatment. Also planned is a recreation hall for workers that are projected to be paid salaries ranging between EUR 650 and EUR 1,000 per month.
