Serbia will again benefit from foreign investment, Heineken Serbia, part of the international beer brewery group, Heineken, announcing a EUR 16 mln investment in the brewer in Novi Sad.
The investment will enable packaging upgrades and a new line for can production, with the company stating this will increase operating and logistics efficiency by 50 percent while also cutting CO2 emissions by 20 percent, according to a company press release.
“Heineken has so far invested more than 220 million euro in Serbia, and in the last two years alone, capital investments made in the brewery in Novi Sad amounted to 16 million euro,” Heineken Serbia director general Nada Djokic said in the release.
In Serbia the company operates two factories in Zajecar and Novi Sad.
