Responding to a large number of delays at the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, Minister of Infrastructure Goran Vesic stated that 30 more employees have been hired and that they will begin work on Saturday, July 7.
The statement comes, following complaints by Air Serbia, whose officials have stated that the primary reason for delays has indeed been a shortage of workers at the airport.
The airline faced delays earlier this week, and stated through a release cited by Serbian media that “further phase delays are possible” and that they could impact the performance of the airline.
This comes after an aggressive period of expansion that saw Air Serbia add new routes, some of which were scheduled to kick in this summer.
