The cities of Belgrade and Dubai announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed May 18 by Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, secretary general of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Aleksandar Šapić, mayor of Belgrade.
The MoU will serve as a framework for cooperation in “key sectors,” including tourism, culture and heritage, smart cities, healthcare and sports, according to the city of Belgrade, as cited by www.emirates247.com. Likewise, cooperation will increase with regard to digital and emerging technology, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) startups.
The news site also noted that meetings for development plans are in the works in order to encourage cooperation and investment, as well as the health and tourism sectors.
